Abercorn Guest House in Edinburgh is a large Victorian family home on the east side of the city. We are in the Portobello area of Edinburgh - with a lovely beach only 2 minutes walk away; shops and restaurants 5 minutes walk, yet we are only minutes from Edinburgh city centre. - 10 minutes by car, 7 minutes by train or 15 minutes by bus (every 10 minutes) to the city.
The house - a former manse built in 1870 - has high ceilings, original cornicing, wooden shutters and Victorian fireplaces. Abercorn is also set in a beautiful large private walled gardens (perfect for sitting in the afternoon with a glass of wine or whisky!!). We have plenty of free parking. Two minutes walk outside Abercorn and you are on to a lovely sandy beach,
We have a variety of well proportioned, elegant bedrooms with a host of extra little touches to make your stay with us even more enjoyable. We pride ourselves in making our guests' stay as relaxed and easy as possible. This may mean providing an early or later breakfast, booking in advance taxis, restaurant or theatre tickets or merely helping with any questions you any have. All this we view as part of our helpful service and the reason our guests return time after time. We have single, double, triple bedrooms, and a large family room which can accommodate up to five persons. The rooms, all different are tastefully furnished, are warm and clean with TV, trouser press, tea/coffee, biscuits, radios, hairdryers and more thoughtful touches. All rooms are en-suite and cleaned daily to a high standard.
